Tales of Buffoonery: Episode 24(Gilbert Arenas)

Gilbert Arenas....

Here we go again.  More buffoonery and coonery.  Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas is known more for  putting his foot in his mouth than his basketball skills as of late. This buffoon has said some outlandish things in the past.  But this time he’s taken his self-hating buffoonery to new heights!  Arenas said that actress Lupita Nyongo was not cute.  No big deal right?  All men don’t have to think the same women are attractive.  He could’ve said he thought actress Gabrielle Union or Tika Sumpter were prettier.  That’s fine…I could respect that.  But it’s what he said after that.  He got into a debate with a pro-black Instagram user.

Here’s what he said:

“How black are we talking??? Not to be funny can u name a beautiful black women on the outside … not brown skin … like tyrese black,” he responsed, “top 50 most beautiful women off [sic] all time … the darkest women they have is (Keshia Knight Pulliam aka Rudy) (Gabrielle Union) (Taral Hicks) (Serena Williams).”

Gilbert continued to broadcast his ignorance and targeted Lupita next. “When u say African features black then u have (#1 Lupita Nyong’o) and she’s cute when the lights are off second is (Ajuma Nasenyana),” he wrote, adding that dark skin disgusts him. “Sorry but ewww so the black beautiful women u try to boost up is technically light skinned or brown skinned.”

Then, when he realized that he misunderstood ProBlkThought, he gave a the sorriest half-apology for what he said.

“I never say sorry for the sh*t I say but it’s my fault I read this wrong and got into my feelings,” he admitted. “I thought it was saying,if ur mixed ur not considered black and beautiful and my kids are mixed and dark skinned so I perceived it how I wanted to.”

Gloria Govan.....

So basically he doesn’t think dark skinned women are attractive.  What a big surprise coming from a self hating coon!  But since is ex-wife is funny looking half black/Mexican Laura Govan this type of mentality should be expected.  Gilbert Arenas is a certified coon.  End of story!

Welcome to the first Kushite Kingdom Awards! I usually deal with a lot of current events and topics my subscribers like to discuss.  But I’m not serious all the time.  I like to laugh and joke around like everyone else.  So I thought I would do something a little fun.  I also wanted to show a token of appreciation to all the black bloggers who have given me great information and food for thought. It’s a real battle out here in the blogosphere. And I appreciate all the words of encouragement from fellow bloggers.    This is not a real competition.  This is all meant in fun.  As you will see from some of the categories. But let me know your picks in the categories.  If enough people like this awards edition I may make it an annual event. So be sure to cast your votes and add anyone to the list I may have left out. My apologies to anyone that didn’t make the list.  Don’t hold it against me.  I appreciate all my subscribers. Peace.

Black Love Denied: Black Women hooking up with White Men(Part 1 of 3)

BL1

Black love scares the racists who run this country. It has become quite obvious that television and film are tools of mind control.  And they use the media to brainwash black men and women on a global scale. Black people are in a physical  and spiritual war against our oppressors.  But the war is also psychological. Last year I covered the subject of Black Love being under attack. https://kushiteprince.wordpress.com/2015/03/15/black-love-is-a-threat-to-the-racist-power-structure/

This time I want to show how this process has been going on for years. And go in detail a little more. The  promotion photo above is  from the drama Minority Report. It’s funny it’s called Minority Report when there are hardly any minorities on the show.  Meagan Good is in the lead role but surrounded by mostly white men.  There’s an Asian woman, white woman and a Hispanic man also on the show. Although Meagan is not romantically involved with any man on the show…yet.  There seems to be a growing trend of putting black women with white men on television shows and films. While some may see this as racial progress,I do not.  I believe Hollywood is making a conscious effort to keep black men and women divided in films and television. It’s obvious they don’t want the masses to see too much black love on the screen. It seems that any time a black woman has a lead role in a show there are no black men to be found. I will be covering black men in part two of this series. This phenomenon is not really new since it’s been pushed on us for decades.  I want to show how this pattern is a form of mind control to get blacks to see interracial dating as a better alternative.  There’s been so many examples of this that there is no way I could possibly list them all. There’s just too many. It would end up being a ten part series. But I did want to highlight just a few examples over the years.

BL16

Back in 1968 there was the famous kissing scene between Nichelle Nichols and William Shatner on Star Trek.  It was very controversial at the time since it was the first interracial kiss on television. Of course nowadays it’s normal in television and film.

BL10

Back in 1971 was the blaxploitation film Honky. It was one of those low budget films that were common in the seventies. It was a love story with actress Brenda Sykes and John Nielson. If you look at the poster you’ll see the music was done by Mr Interracial King himself,Quincy Jones.

BL10

When the sitcom The Jeffersons debuted in 1975,there was the interracial couple Tom and Helen Willis. Played by actors Franklin Cover and Roxie Roker.

BL12

Superstar Whitney Houston was in the film The Bodyguard in 1992. She played a famous singer who fell in love with her bodyguard,Kevin Costner. Although the film and soundtrack made millions,I was never a fan of the film.  Houston was much too classy for Costner. I hated seeing her with this ugly man. I’ve never liked him at all.

BL11

The drama film Zebrahead(1992) starred the beautiful N’Bushe Wright.  Her love interest was played by Michael Rapaport. This is another film that was hard to stomach.  There’s no way a black women this beautiful would lower herself in being with this creature. Rapaport has made some racially insensitive comments in the past. He’s another racist punk I can’t stand.

BL14

In the crime thriller Jackie Brown(1997),black film icon Pam Grier had Robert Forster has a love interest.  This interracial couple was another mismatch. As usual you get a beautiful black woman with a below average white man.  This was a film done by racist director Quentin Tarantino.  Tarantino is in love with the word “nigger”.  He says it about a thousand times in most of his films.  He gets a kick out of using it all the time and gets away with it by saying ” it’s all just art”. Yeah right!

BL5

On the sitcom Girlfriends(2000-2008) actress Jill Marie Jones played character Toni.  After dating black men who were losers, couldn’t commit, womanizers and didn’t make enough money…..she finds happiness with her white knight.  They eventually got married and had a child.  Her husband was played by actor Jason Pace. So much for black love right?

This video from YouTube highlights some of the interracial couples on television over the years.  There are many of these videos all over YouTube.  You actually have some delusional black women uploading this stuff.  These are by women who have clearly been brainwashed to believe that voluntary genocide is a good thing. They are sadly mistaken!

BL9

Then there was the romantic drama Something New(2006),that starred actress Sanaa Lathan. Her character falls in love with a white man,Simon Baker. After ditching her black fiancée because it just didn’t “feel right”.  I guess they lacked chemistry. Anyway Lathan portrayed character Kenya McQueen. McQueen?? Interesting last name? Were they trying to say that the Black Queen should choose a White King? You be the judge.

BL1

How could we forget the film Lakeview Terrace? This thriller was released back in 2008. Long before Kerry Washington was in a white man love triangle on the hit show Scandal, she was getting her swirl on with actor Patrick Wilson. This was a very interesting film because the interracial couple was been harassed by a black neighbor played by Samuel L. Jackson. It added an interesting twist to it.  A black man not down with the interracial propaganda?? Imagine that!

Keke Palmer

In the comedy/musical Joyful Noise(2102) actress Keke Palmer was in an interracial relationship with actor Jeremy Jordan. On a sidenote, recently Palmer said she doesn’t like to label her sexuality. She doesn’t want to say if she’s gay, straight or bisexual.  That’s an interesting comment. Well now that I think about it,Queen Latifah played her mother in Joyful Noise. And we all know Queen Latifah likes women.  Maybe some of Queen’s “lesbian vibes” rubbed off on Palmer. Who knows?

BL1

Think Like a Man(2012) was a romantic comedy with a mostly black cast.  It was actually a book written by Uncle Tom himself Steve Harvey. I have no idea why it was made into a film. But anyway even though the cast was mostly black they wanted to go for the “crossover appeal” so they added an interracial couple in the mix(no pun intended). Gabrielle Union was the unlucky one in the film having to kiss the unattractive actor Jerry Ferrara.

BL2

Best Man Holiday(2013) was released the next year.  I guess after the success of adding an interracial couple in Think Like a Man the producers figured they’d try it also. Best Man Holiday was a sequel to the film The Best Man(1999). Nia Long was paired with actor Eddie Cibrian.  I know quite a few black men that told me they didn’t like this pairing. A lot of brothers love Nia long. But just in general Nia has a big following in the black community. This was not a good look at all. They should’ve just kept the cast black.

BL8

The show Sleep Hollow has become a big hit. It premiered back in 2013 and is still on. It stars actress Nicole Beharie. Her partner is played by white actor Tom Mison.  Much like the show Minority Report with Meagan Good, once again an attractive black woman on a show and no black men anywhere. The combination is always the same.  If a black man is the lead, there are no black woman as love interest. If a black woman is the lead, there’s no black men around. And if black men are around they seem to have no interest in the black woman. This really insults my intelligence. And these shows are big hits with young white men.  I guess because  their idea of heaven is them having all access to beautiful black women with no black men around. Sounds like a nightmare to me!

BL2

The Haves and The Have Nots is a cable television drama.  It premiered back in 2013 on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. The fact that Oprah is involved with it should be enough for you to know it’s not very good. Oprah is not pro-black by any means. But it get worse.  The show is written, produced and directed by Tyler Perry(known homosexual). When I heard he was producing it I knew the show would be garbage.  I figured it would have black dysfunction, violence, drugs, interracial sex and homosexuality. It turns out I was right on all accounts.  The only thing good on the entire show is beautiful actress Tika Sumpter.  Although she is a talented actress not even she can save this mental pollution disguised as entertainment. On the show she has an affair with a married man. So basically she plays a whore and homewrecker.  And of course she has an affair with a white man, played by actor John Schneider. Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey don’t give a damn about black people and our struggle.  They don’t mind being used as tools for white supremacy. Just as long as they get paid.  They both know how powerful television images can be.  I just hope sistas are aware of this sick propaganda being used on them.  Your white oppressor is not the man you need to be in bed with.  The black man is the natural partner to the black woman. They are doing everything to keep us separated in television and films.  So if the media is telling us that black women should be with white men..who should the brothers hook up with? Hmmmmm….you’ll find out in part two.

Biracial Women are the Most Beautiful(and other myths)

This is a video from the talk show The Real.  It’s a silly gabfest with five women as the hosts.  One Asian woman,a Hispanic and a biracial woman.  As well as an overweight dark skinned woman and a black woman with a bad weave.  In this video clip they interview biracial actress Grace Gealey. Gealey stars on the hit drama Empire. I’m sure you’ve heard of the show. The show that promotes homosexuality, colorism, lesbians, murder and black degradation.  Well anyway in this clip Gealey says that she is from the Cayman Islands.  She claims that in the islands they don’t really look at color.  They pay more attention to culture. Really??  I think she’s lying or incredibly naïve.  The system of white supremacy is a global system.  I find it hard to believe that color is not an issue in the Cayman Islands. The reality is she benefits from being biracial.  It’s one the main reasons  she probably got the part on Empire.  She benefits from not being “too black” so to speak.  She has that exotic look that many producers are looking for.  And she’s not the only one who is capitalizing off of the erasure of black women. It seems every time I turn on the television there seems to be a biracial/mixed race woman staring at me. I see them in commercials, sitcoms, reality shows and dramas. They are all over social media like Facebook,Instagram and Twitter.  Many are trying to be models or break into acting.   And many are becoming famous in the process. Of course they are everywhere because the media wants us to believe they are a better version of black people.  If they have light eyes, white features, light skin and long straight hair…they are deemed worthy of being called beautiful.  Yes there are some attractive biracial women.  I went to school with some in college and I have many co-workers that are biracial.  They have always been around me. Even as a kid in grade school.  Some of them got picked on by the black girls and I never understood it.  But as I got older it makes more sense.  The black girls never felt beautiful in a white racist society.  So I guess they saw the light skinned mixed girls with light eyes and long hair and felt jealous.  And I have heard many biracial women talk about people believing they are all conceited and vain.  Of course they are not all this way.  But I can see why many biracial women would believe they are the cream of the crop.  The white controlled media helps to push this myth.

The media reinforces the belief that they are better because they are usually not dark skinned and more African looking.  This video above hits on a great point about black women stepping up and not letting biracial women steal their shine.  I totally agree with her in the video.  I have seen some pretty biracial women but they are not any prettier than black women.  And many are playing in roles as the wives and girlfriends of black men.  Many times the fact that they are biracial is never even brought up at all.  Some of you may not be aware that  they are biracial. There’s been an abundance of them lately.

Tessa

In the film Creed, biracial actress Tessa Thompson played the girlfriend of Michael B. Jordan. Tessa also was in the horrible film Dear White People. That film could’ve been so much better.

Amber

Biracial actress Amber Stevens plays a girlfriend on the sitcom The Carmichael Show. In real life Amber is married to a white guy…but I digress.

Amandla

Teenage actress Amandla Stenberg is biracial.  She also recently came out as bisexual. Gay agenda being pushed?? You decide.

Westbrooks

BET is poison for black minds anyway. But they have a reality show called The Westbrooks.  It’s a reality show about a bunch of biracial Instagram “stars”. It follows them around during their daily lives. Yes…more mind pollution.

Yara

Teenage actress Yara Shahidi is half black and half Iranian.  She is on the buffoonish sitcom Blackish.

JurneeThis is a picture from the upcoming series Underground. It stars actress Jurnee Smollett Bell. She has a Jewish father and black mother. On a side note, aren’t you tired of the same old slave narrative? White Hollywood always has to remind us of our slave past.

Sharon

Actress Sharon Leal is half black and half Filipino. As you can see they are not always half black/half white. Sometimes they will be part Asian or Hispanic as well. But of course she always plays just a “black” woman.

Gugu

Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw is half black/half white. She has become very popular the last few years.  She’s been on a lot of magazine covers. Some critics say she is the “new Halle Berry”.  Really??  Where is the new Cicely Tyson?  The new Angela Bassett? The new Lauryn Hill??  Hollywood isn’t looking for those type anymore. They don’t want too many dark skinned, full lipped,African textured haired women in Hollywood.  The dark skinned authentic African looking woman must be put in the back so that the mixed race/biracial woman can shine as her rightful replacement.  The biracial women are closer to white so they are looked at as a better representation of blackness.

"Eclipsed" Opening Night

Over the last couple of years more African looking women have been getting more press.  Most recently actresses like Lupita Nyongo and Danai Gurira(pictured above),Gabrielle Union,Viola Davis and Tika Sumpter have gotten more roles on television and film.  But there is still a large abundance of biracial/mixed women all over the media.  They are still usually the women seen as desirable in films.  And mostly play the wives and girlfriends to black men.  I think Hollywood is very afraid the dark skinned African looking woman.  They are doing their best to suppress her beauty.  They feel a woman  who actually looks like an authentic African is a threat to the European ideal beauty standard. This is what the racist white media really fear.  They want to see someone who is lighter skinned, light colored eyes and looks like they might have one white parent. This is why you see more women who look like Alicia Keys than Luptia Nyongo.  But the reality is we need more Lupita’s. I want black women to embrace their beauty.  And ignore the lies of the media.  You are beautiful without having to be watered down.  And you don’t need a weave or be mixed.  You are beautiful without any European additives. You are the Original Mother of the planet. You are the TRUE standard of beauty!  Do not let anyone tell you different.

Sista

It’s official! Black women are finally considered pretty now!

Lupita
Lupita2
It took over 400 years but the day has finally come. Black women are finally considered attractive. It was announced today that People magazine named Lupita Nyongo the most beautiful person in the world. I guess now that a mainstream(white) magazine has said it–it MUST be true. Of course I’m being sarcastic, but I don’t believe the hype. I think many black women,in particular dark skinned women, will see this as a triumph. I personally think many dark skinned beauties are overlooked in the media. They love to glorify the mixed/biracial types. The ones that I consider “pseudo-black”. So the fact that a dark skinned, full lipped woman with natural hair is on the cover seems surprising. But there’s been quite a lot of hype around Lupita this past year. It’s due to her portrayal in the slave film,12 Years a Slave. She was very good in that film I must say. Although I’m tired of the “slave, butler, maid” films. But that’s another subject altogether. I don’t want black people to get too excited over this cover story though. I believe that Lupita’s beauty is fetishized by the media. There are so many white/latina/mixed women seen as beautiful in the movies that Lupita seems like an alien by comparison. The media portrayal of dark skin is always put in a negative light. No matter how beautiful a dark skinned woman might be,she never will get the praise a white women does. Or a biracial woman for that matter. As a matter of fact the last woman of color to make the cover of People’s most beautiful list was Beyoncé back in 2012. A decade ago biracial beauty Halle Berry graced the cover. I guess it was a slow progression until they got to a woman with dark skin. But the past years have been Kate Hudson 2008,Christina Applegate 2009,Julia Roberts 2010,Jennifer Lopez 2011 and plain Jane Gwyneth Paltrow in 2013. All average looking women in my opinion. Although I will admit that Lopez does have nice curves. But even having nice curves, nice butt and full lips are still more recognized in the media when they are on a non-black woman. A woman like Lupita should have been on the cover a long time ago. To be honest I think Lupita is hands down the prettiest woman they’ve ever had on the cover. But I think it’s just one moment in time. This fascination with Lupita reminds of when I was a kid in the 80’s with Grace Jones. The media was fascinated with this “tall, dark skinned African looking” woman. I don’t think it will last. In a system of white supremacy you have to make black people feel that they’re ugly, inferior and less than. There’s no way they will keep this trend going. It would throw a wrench in their system. You have to instill a sense of inferiority in people of color. This is what happens in films, television and magazines to keep the system going. Even Lupita herself has battled with issues of skin color. Earlier this year she was at an awards show and spoke from the heart.
She mentioned how she would pray to God that she would wake up with lighter skin, “I tried to negotiate with God: I told him I would stop stealing sugar cubes at night if he gave me what I wanted; I would listen to my mother’s every word and never lose my school sweater again if he just made me a little lighter, but I guess God was unimpressed with my bargaining chips because He never listened.”
That’s a very painful thing to hear. But it’s a reality that many young black girls have to live with. Black parents must instill a sense of pride in their children. So that they’re proud of their culture, race and heritage. It would be nice in the coming years if People magazine were to name Lauryn Hill,Kelly Rowland,Tika Sumpter,Lanisha Cole and Tomiko Fraser has the most beautiful. But…..I wouldn’t wait to long for that. I don’t think we should wait for validation from white owned publications to tell US what is beautiful. We as black people know that we have unique beauty all out own. I say congrats to Lupita. You are a gorgeous sista. But you were already beautiful as a young girl growing up in Kenya. Long before you ever knew about People magazine.
