Peace family. I hope you’ve all been well. I know there’s a lot of things going on in the world right now. Every day there’s some news about politics, racist incident, police brutality or celebrity gossip. Most of the mainstream “news” is designed to distract us from real progress. I have gotten a lot of information from WordPress,Facebook,Youtube,Twitter,Google,Yahoo and Instagram. As well as the cable news and talk shows.
I do a lot of research for my posts. It takes a quite a bit of work to find the right videos and pictures for a specific post. But social media can be very draining at times. You can wear yourself out when trying to fight racism, expose conspiracies and decode this matrix we are currently trapped inside. We are living in a synthetic reality. I hope people have learned something from my blog over the last six years. I have uploaded over 1,000 posts in that time. But I couldn’t have done it without the help of other bloggers. There are a few people who have shown me great support over the years.
There are many bloggers and people I’ve chatted with on YouTube. And many of them have opened my eyes to the deception around me. They have made me look at things from a different perspective. They made me challenge my own personal beliefs. I’d like to thank fellow bloggers such as Moorbey,Land of Kam,Diary of a Negress,Original Black Woman,Onitaset Kumat,HungLikeJesus,Melanin Man,Chef Ahki,Shelby Courtland,Amos Magazine,Cliff Green,Lumumba Afrika,Chantel Keona,Sparking Thoughts,Cree7,Adunola the Oracle,Tahtahme Xero,Ajua Luv,Kelley,Sunny Delyte, CC Saunders,Jakke Brown,Brotha Wolf,No Black Pete,BlackMyStory,4thAngelsBowl,Queen Afua,Truth Angel,Naga Kanyah, Cynical Afrikan,Malaika Mutere,Alicia Monet,Trojan Pam(R.I.P),Queen Adira,Akings Truth,Hugh Cipher,Omay Farlane,Nidotopian Warrior,Wyzedome,Black Empowerment,Brother Osei, King Lo the Rastar,One Tawny Stranger,OldSchoolBlog,Roshumba Monique and Infinite Alkhemist. I want to thank each and every one of you. You all have your own unique perspective on this crazy world we live in. I want to thank each and every one of you for the information you’ve all given me over the years. But I’ve been burned out as of late. I have my own personal problems I’m going through. I know you all have your problems as well. I’ve taken breaks before but this one will probably be longer. I have some things I need to work out. And to be honest, trying to wake up people drains you. I’ve been on this journey for a very long time. It takes it’s toll on you. But I do want to make something clear. I have not giving up on my people. Many times black people do let me down. But I have not thrown in the towel on freedom and liberation. That will always be priority number one. I’m not sure when I’ll be back blogging full time. Even though I wont be blogging I’ll still be around. I guess you could say I’m going “underground” for awhile. I think 2019 will be a very stressful year for all of us. I’m not sure what it will be but I feel as though something is coming. I think we all should be preparing in these uncertain times. Look out for your family and friends. You guys take care. Peace and blessings. Your brother,KP.
Recently I got the chance to attend Return of The Gods. It was held at the World Beat Center in San Diego,California. It was a fun filled three day event. Over the course of three days they had a fashion show, yoga, martial arts demonstration and African dancers. They had rappers, singers and guest speakers. It was really fun to meet a lot of the people in the black conscious community I’ve followed over the years. Return of The Gods was created by the brilliant Kateria Knows. She wanted to create an event that would bring black people together in love and peace. And also raise the collective consciousness of black people. We really need that right now. And I respect the fact that she’s putting forth the effort. Not just talking about it but putting it in action. I must give her a lot of props for that. The event was hosted by comedian Michael Colyar and Mama Funshine. Colyar was cracking jokes a lot. But he did keep it lively and kept the crowd involved. There were performances by rappers such as Sa-Roc,D Ranks,Sole,Herb Alkhemyst and conscious battle rapper BDOT. I also saw Ayanna Gregory, who is the daughter of the late comedian Dick Gregory. And I spoke with entrepreneur/radio host Six Goddis. Six is a really cool sista. They also had special honorees as well. The renowned healer and author Queen Afua was honored. I got a chance to chat with the elder. I told her I had some of her books and have followed her for many years. It was a pleasure to speak with her and her son. I also spoke with author/health activist Chef Ahki. She had a vendor booth selling her books and products. She has a great book called The Fibroid Elimination Recipe Guide. I suggest any women that want to avoid fibroids purchase that book. Also Booker T. Coleman was in attendance. Some of you may remember him from the documentary Hidden Colors. Lecturer Michael Imhotep was also honored. He is the creator of the African History Network. I also saw rapper Lord Jamar from the legendary rap group Brand Nubian. And rapper Rah Digga was in attendance. It was a really fun event. I got to meet a lot of really cool and intelligent brothers and sisters. There was definitely nourishment for the mind, body and soul. I hope Kateria does it again next year. I definitely would go!
Return of The Gods creator Kateria Knows(pictured above) pulled off a great event. Everyone had a great time. She’s pictured here with her equally beautiful sister Sherina.
I wanted to make a video to show some appreciation to all the people I’ve met in cyberspace. Like most people I’ve had ups and downs in life. But even when I was feeling down a lot of you helped uplift my spirits. And I’ve learned so much from many of you. Many of you have shared information with me that I never knew. And hopefully I’ve done the same for you. That’s all I ever wanted to do. I never started blogging to be Mr. Popular. I don’t do this to be some kind of conscious celebrity. I have strong opinions and I’ve actually lost subscribers because of my views. But at least I’m honest about my feelings. I love my people and I just want them to realize we are in a real war at the moment. I just try to bring them information that will elevate their consciousness and see through the lies. So this video is long overdue. To all the kind brothers and sisters I’ve chatted with on WordPress,Youtube and Twitter. I also want to thank all the people who reblogged and shared my posts on Instagram and Facebook. All your hard work is not going unnoticed. I appreciate all the love. I just wanted to say thank you!
Just a week ago I went to a Kwanzaa celebration. It was held at the KRST Unity Center of Afrakan Spiritual Science in Los Angeles. It is ran by Reverend Dr Richard Byrd and his wife Reverend Erica Byrd. The center is dedicated to the principles and practices of MAAT. The event itself was free for all to come. It was nice to see so many black men, women and children having a great time. There was no drama and no fighting . There were black vendors and musicians that performed. There was a candle lighting ceremony that highlighted the principles of Kwanzaa. They explained libation and why our ancestors did it. There was a beautiful poem by poet Tasha Auset. A rap performance by a young man named Jeremiah Berryman. He was a real talented brother. He was dropping positive lyrics with no profanity. There was comedy by Daryl Mooney the son of comedian Paul Mooney. As well as a Kwanzaa play and African dancing. At the intermission the reggae group Fountain of Roots performed. Guest speaker Michael Imhotep from the African History Network had a lecture at the end of the ceremony. I really enjoyed myself. You could feel the love in the place. It’s nice to be around black people that are comfortable in their own skin. Everyone I met was really positive. The vibe was very positive. But I had such a great time I thought I would share some of the pictures and videos of the event.
This brother(above) is Tony B. Conscious. He’s a very talented rapper and spits positive lyrics. I was joking around with him the whole night. He is really cool and a down to earth brother.
This is Tony’s apparel he was selling at the event. He not only raps but makes t-shirts,beanies,hats,jewelry and is a painter. He’s a very talented artist. This brother does it all! I bought a beanie and t-shirt from him.
This beautiful sista is Yendi Serwaa. She is a very talented woman in her own right. She makes all these unique crafts and is also a painter.
These are some of the products(above) she was selling. Yendi is also on the Board of Directors at the KRST Unity Center.
This picture(above) is of Reverend Richard Byrd and Herb Alkhemyst. Byrd is also known as Meri Ka Ra. It was a pleasure to meet the elder. He was a very nice man. The lovely Alkhemyst is a singer/songwriter and herbalist.
Koshana Kweli and Kateria Knows also attended the event. Kweli is a spiritual consultant and child care provider. Kateria is an amazing astrologer and creator of the Real Family Reunion. Kateria spoke at the event about the power of purpose. It was a great speech. They were really cool and down to earth sistas. It was a pleasure to meet them.
This picture(above) is with Herb Alkhemyst and her sister Kateria Knows. They’re pictured with Michael Imhotep. He has a blogtalk radio program called African History Network. Imhotep gave a very powerful lecture at the event. I got a chance to chat with Imhotep for about thirty minutes after the event. I even bought a few of his dvd’s.
This was their first annual Kwanzaa event. They say they will do more in the future. I’ll definitely try to attend the event again. It was just a really nice way to end the year. Black people talking about black unity, black economics,African culture, black history, black relationships, black unity and black love. And those are the things we all need to carry on into 2018. ❤
