As farmers and gardeners, we are dedicated to creating handmade, high-quality, affordable and unique items for our customers. Our soaps and holistic products are made with only the freshest organic ingredients like buttermilk, Shea Butter and sun-dried herbs. Our mission can be summed up in three simple words: Quality, courtesy and craftsmanship.

So, who are we exactly and why did we choose holistic products?

It all started at the age of ten when a simple case of carsickness and a friend’s recommendation to chew on a piece of ginger sparked an interest in herbs. From there, it progressed from a mild curiousity in Mother Nature to a lifelong study in the miracle of roots and herbs.

Being a holistic practitioner isn’t a choice. It’s a calling.

10 Signs to look for in Black Consciousness

Awake9....

Over the years I’ve seen black people who were full of self hatred make a big change.  Some gain black consciousness through books or films.  But one thing  I’ve noticed is that black people who really change their consciousness is that their lifestyle changes as well.  As well as their opinions and world view.  Here’s a short list of some of the things I went through during the elevation of my own consciousness.  And things I’ve seen in others.  Feel free to list any things that come to your mind in the comment section.

Awake1.....jpg

1.Many begin to have a stronger cultural pride. They may even change the way they dress or learn an African dialect.   They start to talk about black power and black unity a lot more.

Awake2.....jpg

2. Many times their eating habits will change.  As they gather more information on a holistic health they will stop eating at fast food restaurants and eat more fruits and vegetables. They eat organic food over GMO poison.

Awake13...

3.They will start to develop a thirst for knowledge.  They will want to learn as much as possible about black history, black heroes and all the great African civilizations.  Knowledge of self becomes very important.

Awake5....

4.  After learning their true history they may become upset from the lies they were told by the “public fool system”.  They realize(real eyes) they have been manipulated. After doing extensive research they have become “awaken” and can see through the lies and propaganda from the racist media and Hollywood.

Awake11...

5.  After much studying they learn to appreciate the beauty and power of their melanin.  They realized they are blessed to have sun-kissed skin and black genetics run through their veins.

Awake8....

6.They no longer hate their natural African textured hair.  They now know their hair acts as an antenna.  They know they have 9 Ether cosmic hair while other races have fur.

Awake4.....

7.  Interracial marriage(swirling) begins to look strange to their eyes.  After realizing black power and unity are crucial….interracial couples look foreign to them.  They see that many of their people suffer from mentacide and don’t realize they are destroying themselves by mating with other races.

Awake7....

8.  As their consciousness grows so does their maturity level.  They stop acting like little boys and girls and act like responsible men and women.  They desire to have meaningful loving connections with black people. No more one night stands and casual flings. Whores(male or female) are not truly conscious beings.

Awake10...

9.  They begin to study herbal medicine.  They realize that hospitals aren’t in the business of curing people.  They now know that herbal immunity is better than deadly vaccines. And that hospitals are disease management.

Awake6....

10.  They know that Black Love, black unity and self respect is of utmost importance. They also realize that black people are the true standard of beauty and we are the original people of the planet.  And the black man and woman need each other in this physical, spiritual and psychological war!

Dr Sebi- Death of a Natural Herbalist

sebi1Natural herbalist Dr Sebi passed away while I was on hiatus. Someone asked me to do a post about him. I know he touched the lives of many people.  And helped to cure many people of cancer, diabetes,AIDS,arthritis and sickle cell.  Here’s a biography and a few videos on his death. It should give you some food for thought.  Let me know your thoughts.

Alfredo Darrington Bowman also known as the world famous Dr. Sebi the man who cures cancer and aids along with many other diseases was detained after a flight from California that landed at the Juan Manuel Galvez de Roatan Airport on May 28, 2016 under charges of money laundering. Dr. Sebi and his associate Pablo Medina Gamboa were apprehended carrying a total of $50,000 in cash. $20,000 on Dr. Sebi and $30,000 on Gamboa. They were attempting to board a private plane headed to another location in Honduras. He was detained and then released for a pending court appearance that would later take place on June 3, 2016.

After his court hearing on June 3, 2016 Dr. Sebi was detained under the charges of money laundering by the Public Ministerio. On an unconfirmed date and time between June 3rd and the August 6th Dr. Sebi reported severe health conditions during incarceration related to pneumonia. In critical health condition he was rushed to the Vicente D’antoni Hospital but died in transit. Before this event his brother Garden Bowman reported that Dr. Sebi had experienced health complications from pneumonia and was prescribed medication by the hospital. His exact conditions of death and any evidence of foul play is still unknown and under investigation. He was received at the hospital by Dr. Edwin Interiano.

Dr. Sebi born Alfredo Bowman on November 26, 1933 in the village of llanga in Spanish Honduras. Dr. Sebi never attended school, not even kindergarten. Instead, he took cues on being obedient to the procession of life from his beloved grandmother, “Mama Hay”. Sebi’s mother had to leave her young son with his grandmother to obtain work in another town. His early days of play and observation by the river and in the forest, coupled with guidance from his grandmother, afforded Sebi the foundation to be obedient to the Truth in his later life.

Dr. Sebi came to the United States as a self-educated man who was diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, impotency, and obesity. After unsuccessful treatments with conventional doctors, Sebi was lead to an herbalist in Mexico. Finding great healing success from all his ailments, he began creating natural vegetation cell food compounds geared for inter-cellular cleansing and the revitalization of all the cells that make up the human body.

Inspired by the personal healing experience and knowledge he gained, he began sharing the compounds with others, which gave birth to the USHA Research Institute, Dr. Sebi LLC, and the Usha Healing Village located in Laceiba, Honduras. Dr. Sebi Videos

Sebi is a pathologist, herbalist, biochemist, and naturalist. He has studied and personally observed herbs in America, Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean, and has developed a unique approach to healing with herbs that is firmly rooted in over 30 years of practical experience.

Eight Herbs that can Help those with Type 2 Diabetes

For anyone with type 2 diabetes, the goal of treatment is to control blood sugar levels. In many cases, exercise and diet is enough to regulate these levels, but when it is not, medicine is available. But even beyond traditional medicine, there are more options still.

As with many other ailments, people often look to natural remedies and herbs to assist with their treatment. Because of this, several botanical and herbal supplements have been studied as alternative treatments for type 2 diabetes, including ginseng, cinnamon and aloe vera. Read onto find out if trying them might work for you.

Milk thistle: This flowering herb is found near the Mediterranean Sea. It has been used for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. It is sometimes known by the name of its active component, silybinin. Milk thistle may reduce insulin resistance in people with type 2 diabetes who also have liver disease.

Fenugreek: This herb has been used as a medicine and as a spice for thousands of years in the Middle East. Benefits of fenugreek for diabetes have been demonstrated in both animal and human trials. In one study of 25 people with type 2 diabetes, fenugreek was found to have a significant effect on controlling blood sugar.

Psyllium: This plant fiber is found in common bulk laxatives and fiber supplements. Psyllium has also been used historically to treat diabetes. Studies show that people with type 2 diabetes who take 10 grams of psyllium every day can improve their blood sugar and lower blood cholesterol.

Cinnamon: Consuming about half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day can result in significant improvement in blood sugar, cholesterol and triglyceride levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

Holy basil: This herb is commonly used in India as a traditional medicine for diabetes. Studies in animals suggest that holy basil may increase the secretion of insulin. A controlled trial of holy basil in people with type 2 diabetes showed a positive effect on fasting blood sugar and on blood sugar following a meal.

Ginseng: Ginseng has been used as a traditional medicine for more than 2,000 years. Studies suggest that both Asian and American ginseng may help lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. One study found that extract from the ginseng berry was able to normalize blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity in mice that were bred to develop diabetes.

Aloe Vera: This plant has been used for thousands of years for its healing properties. Some studies suggest that the juice from the aloe vera plant can help lower blood sugar in people with types 2 diabetes. The dried sap of the aloe vera plant has traditionally been used in Arabia to treat diabetes.

Bitter melon: This is a popular ingredient of Asian cooking and traditional Chinese medicine. It is believed to relieve thirst and fatigue, which are possible symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Research has shown that extract of bitter melon can reduce blood sugar.

According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, there is still not enough good evidence to support the use of herbal supplements solely as effective type 2 diabetes treatments. While many of these supplements show promise, until results from additional studies come out, do not take herbal supplements without first consulting with your doctor, since many of them have side effects that may interfere with other medications or exacerbate the health condition.
