Get Out- Interracial/Horror Film(Hidden truths)

Jordan Peele’s directorial debut Get Out proves a fascinating engagement with the racial truths of the contemporary world. The film centers on interracial couple Chris and Rose who are traveling to meet Rose’s parents in a New York City Suburb.

Prior to their visit, Chris asks Rose if she told her parents that he is black. Rose makes a mockery of this query, a query that encompasses the film’s many acts of foreshadow and dramatic irony. Get Out proceeds to illustrate that it is Chris’ blackness that makes him Rose’s prey. The couple’s visit to meet Rose’s parents proves a sick and calculated effort to abduct black bodies and re-appropriate them as a means to enhance the lives of a white counterpart. In short, the film’s resonance lies not in the images themselves but what lies beneath.

1.White Liberal

One of the most demonstrative illustrations in the film is its portrayal of the “white liberal.” Rose, Chris’s girlfriend not only dates a black man but defends him in the face of overt discrimination. Chris is racially profiled by a police officer on the way to meet Rose’s parents. The policeman asks Chris for his identification, to which they receive Rose’s wrath. After the incident, she states that she won’t let anyone “F%ck with her man.” But little does Chris know, Rose is merely protecting Chris the object and not Chris the person. This objectification becomes clear in the silent auction that takes place in Rose’s parent’s garden. What they disguise as “Bingo” is an auction where interested white buyers place bids for the black body Rose brings home. So questions like “Is it better?” referencing black male sexual performance, is the query of a prospective buyer desiring a worthy investment.

Rose portrays a physical embodiment to the phrase “every shut eye ain’t sleep and every goodbye ain’t gone.” An assumed ally can very well bear oppressive feelings towards a marginalized body. Assumed allies often veil self-interest in seemingly supportive gestures. Namely, Rose does not verbalize her prejudices yet is not any different or better than her parents or their “garden party” guests.

2. The Poisonous Apple

Get Out depicts Chris, a black man,  as an Eve-like figure and Rose, a white woman, as the poisonous apple that exploits his vulnerabilities and renders a series of irreversible consequences. The film intertwines physical hypnosis to induce black acquiescence to a  new identity. Rose acts as a form of hypnosis in her pursuit and pseudo-love for the black male. In seeking to consummate white acceptance and assimilation in his romantic relations with white women,  the black male body enters a vulnerable state exploited by his “prize.” Thus, Rose uses her external appeal to sink her thorns deep into the black male psyche. Just as their love seems to bloom, it is not Rose who dies, but her black lover–illustrating the measure of a rose’s beauty is the ability to distract admirers from its thorns sinking into their flesh.

3. Science and black experimentation

The Armitage family abducts blacks, hypnotizes them, and uses the black body to improve white quality of life. The procedure leaves a small portion of the black brain but replaces the majority with a white brain. Thus, the black person becomes “a passenger” in his own body. This procedure seems synonymous to the abduction of African bodies and displacing them onto indigenous soil. This displacement renders the black body a passenger in the western experience as each generation proves more distant relationship to their African origins. While the African brain may not be physically extracted, it becomes westernized so that descendants of abducted Africans feel more American than African–making the black body a commuter in their own oppression.

Interestingly, upon first meeting, Chris and Rose disclose that they hit a deer on their way up. In response, Rose’s father remarks that they “did a service” by hitting and ultimately killing the deer. It is this same ideology that prompts the white conservative to seek out black bodies to dismember for their own personal benefit. In their minds, the Armitage family does a service to blacks abducted for their procedure, as their procedure affords the black body a purpose believed to not exist outside of serving whites. Prior to preparing Chris for the procedure, Mr. Armitage asks him “What is your purpose, Chris?” To pose this question prior to their intended procedure suggests that their use of his body incites a purpose otherwise non-existent.

It is this same ideology that prompted white doctors and scientists to use black bodies to test out medical procedures. Henrietta Lacks’ doctor felt entitled to the contents of her vagina, so much so that he did not even consult her next of kin prior to abducting her cells. The pearl-like substances that killed her would acquire purpose in the lives Lacks would come to save following her death. Thus, just as the Armitage family deems the black body purposeful in servicing whites,  Henrietta Lacks’ story similarly illustrates the black body as purposeful solely when appropriated for western motives.

Slavery and the contemporary world implement a similar ideology as the most celebrated black figures: athletes, entertainers, and actresses all serve whites. Thus, the television, radio and even the education system all act as an informal hypnosis implemented as a means to control black bodies and place them on a dead end path to white servitude.

Film Review Get Out

4. The unassumed intellect

Get Out channels Charles Chestnut’s “The Goophered Grapevine” and “Dave’s Neckliss” in illustrating the unassumed intellect in Chris’ TSA friend, Rod Williams. For those unfamiliar with Chestnut or these stories, a prevalent style of Chestnut is to implement a character who due to their vernacular speech prompts most to assume that he is intellectually deficient. The unassumed intellect uses these preconceived notions to his advantage and deceives his “intelligent” counterparts by the story’s conclusion.

Similarly, Williams provides comedic relief to audiences in his delivery. Yet the dramatic irony evokes laughter from some and frustration from others as audiences know that Williams is the sole party in the film that knows the truth. This depiction functions positively, as it evokes a caricatured black image as a means to exploit presumed western conceptualizing of black intellect. In a perfect world, caricatured imaging of blacks would disappear completely. However, it is an act of advancement to include stereotypes in a way that prompts contemplation, or that performs in a way to challenge western predilection for the compartmentalized black body.

The Final Verdict

The most resounding part of the film for me is when the black male body reappropriated as the Artimage grandfather, snaps out of his hypnosis and not only shoots Rose but shoots himself. This depiction illustrates black detachment from a controlled identity as a necessary component to disabling mental enslavement. Furthermore,  blacks not only have to rid themselves from physical obstacles but the part of ourselves that encompasses these harmful ideologies.

My least favorite component of the film was the means in which the hypnotized black body reverts back to semi-consciousness. Although the black body is held hostage by a white brain, it a flash or white light that snaps them back into consciousness. Thus, although it is a black man who physically saves himself from his pending imprisonment–it is a stroke of white light that enables his escape.

Thus, while seemingly a cautionary tale to interracial dating, or to the black body trusting whites in any capacity–the film evokes a white savior in representation rather than form. At surface level, the film seems to evoke the separatist ideology implemented by civil rights leaders like the late Malcolm X. However, the authorship of said movie makes this close reading impossible to take seriously. For this reason, Get Out reminds me a lot of Birth of Nation.

After viewing both Birth of a Nation and Get Out, I left the theater somewhat content. These feelings faded almost instantaneously as I realized that these movies while depicting the complexities of the historical and contemporary black experience can only resonate but so deeply. Namely, both Peele and Parker write and produce movies that should be revolutionary, but are not.

Jordan Peele and Nate Parker both conclude their films in the same manner. Specifically,   Birth of a Nation and Get Out end with all central white characters are murdered by blacks. While fatalities at the hands of blacks substantiate black bestiality, it also functions to depict white bodies as factors that must be eliminated to free blacks from an oppressive state. Like Birth of a Nation, Get Out is authored and directed by a black male married to a white woman. This dynamic casts said black authors as significantly less harmful and least likely to actually eliminate the white demographic because to do so would be to not only murder their wives but the mother of their children. Furthermore, with their interracial unions, the black male writer and director assumes a non-threatening stance in which the murder of fictive white characters seems an artistic choice rather than a means to uplift the black collective.

While the western world attaches a taboo labeling to interracial unions, these unions function favorably to foment white supremacy. The strongest black leaders are strong not because of what they say but because of what they do. Thus, these films are noteworthy, not revolutionary, as it is not enough to implement images that suggest an ideology disconnected from the thought and action of the author.

Writer and producer Jordan Peele also complicates the ability to take Get Out seriously with his comedic background. Thus, his depiction of a white family who abducts blacks and uses their bodies for their own benefit—becomes a well-executed joke rather than reflective of a past and present horror not limited to a New York City suburb.

Black Love Denied: Black Men & Latinas…a better match?(Part 2 of 3)

There’s another trend going on.  The attack on black love is very real. I told you what they’re doing to black women in part one. Now I’ll show what they’re trying to do with brothers. This picture(above) is from the Fox drama Rosewood. It premiered back in September 2015.  It stars Morris Chestnut in his first leading role on television. He plays a doctor on the show and he is paired with Puerto Rican actress Jaina Lee Ortiz.  She plays a Miami detective. There is a beautiful black actress in the show as well played by Gabrielle Dennis. But she plays the sister to Chestnut’s character.  She also plays a lesbian with a white girlfriend no less.  Black people playing homosexuals and lesbians is something I’ve covered many times in the past. That’s a whole different subject. But this post is about a trend I’ve noticed a lot in the last twenty  years or so. I have seen a steady increase of latina actresses playing the romantic interest to black men in countless films and television shows. Although in Rosewood, Morris and Jaina have not officially “hooked up” they flirt with each other in nearly every episode.  It is only a matter of time before they eventually get together.

The first time I can remember seeing this was in the film Money Train.  This was way back in 1995.  It starred Wesley Snipes and Jennifer Lopez.  I remember this because I believe it was the first love scene Lopez ever did.

Then I remember seeing Cuban actress Eva Mendes with Denzel Washington in Training Day(2002).  She also played his ex-wife in the film Out of Time.  And she also played Will Smith girlfriend in the film Hitch(2005).

In that silly ass comedy Boat Trip(2002),Roselyn Sanchez played the love interest for Cuba Gooding Jr.  They had absolutely no chemistry together and the film wasn’t even funny. But I think this is a disturbing trend.  I know some people will say that it’s no big deal sense these are “women of color”.  But this is nonsense to me.  It doesn’t matter if many Puerto Ricans have 15%-20% African ancestry.  The fact remains that most of them have  over 60% European ancestry.  They are mostly white.  Theses are the facts!  They may speak Spanish or Portuguese but they are not African women.  We need more roles showing black love across the board.  These Latinas are being used to promote race mixing as a better alternative to black love.   It’s also a way to show that Latinas are better for black men.  All this “love has no color” crap sounds silly to me!  Hollywood is terrified of black men and women loving one another and creating beautiful black babies. They seem to promote anything that can further divide black me and women. I get the feeling that black people loving each other is their biggest fear.

In the film Four Brothers(2005)singer/actor Tyrese was the love interest for Colombian actress Sofia Vergara. I remember thinking they were such an odd pairing when I saw this film.  They film was okay as far as action films go.  But in the film Tyrese was adopted by an old white woman.  And he had three adoptive brothers.  Two of them were white guys. One of them played by Mark Wahlberg.  It was really silly.  You know how Hollywood likes to show blacks who were raised by whites as “decent negroes”.  It was truly a waste of film. I wish I could get my money back.

Odette

South Beach(2006) was a television drama starring Odette Annable and the late Lee Thompson Young. Annable has a Cuban mother and her father is French/Italian. So that would make her…….white right?

The Event

In 2010 there was the television show The Event. It starred Blair Underwood as the President of the United States.  The First Lady was played by Puerto Rican actress Lisa Vidal. In the show Underwood’s character’s name was Elias Martinez. He was an Afro-Latin man so I guess that’s why his wife was a Latina right?  But why not a more black looking Afro-Latina then? I think you know the answer.

Also in 2010 there was the film Our Family Wedding.  It’s about a black man(Lance Gross) marrying a Hispanic woman.  The woman is Honduran actress America Ferrera.  It’s a comedy about the blending of different races and cultures.  This video clip is my favorite scene in the film.  It shows the Hispanic grandmother fainting when she sees her grand daughter’s black fiancée.  It’s kind of funny but also very realistic. Mainly because this is how many of these old(and young) Hispanic family members truly feel when their daughter/niece/grand daughter is marrying a black man. It’s done in a comical way but underneath is the truth of their anti-blackness. Which runs throughout Hispanic/Latin culture.

Do you recognize this man? That’s John David Washington. The son of legendary actor Denzel Washington.  Not sure if many people know that he’s acting on the comedy television series Ballers(2015). He plays a  professional football player character named Ricky Jerret.  In the series his fiancée  is Cuban actress Anabelle Acosta. In his first starring role you would think he would be cast with a black woman.  But then again Denzel was paired with Cuban actress Eva Mendes in Training Day. Like father,like son right?

This is a picture from the upcoming comedy Meet The Blacks.  It stars comedian Mike Epps and his wife is played by Colombian actress Zulay Henao.  Once again the black woman is left out.  The black woman in the pic is his daughter.  The title of the film is supposed to be a play on words.  But it’s insulting because they’re called The Blacks…but the wife isn’t black!! How ridiculous is that??

This is Forest Whitaker with Mexican actress Eva Longoria.  They played husband and wife in the film A Dark Truth. It always cracks me up when I see Mexicans and blacks playing lovers in films.  Mexican culture  has a strong anti-black sentiment.  I’ve had Mexican co-workers over the years.  They treat me with respect and don’t give me a hard time.  They’re cool with you in the workplace but they keep a social distance. Dating them is an entirely different story.  I know for a fact that most Mexican men hate seeing their women with black men. They find it very disgusting and think they are better than black men anyway. I even know some that wont even date a Mexican woman if she’s dated black men. That sounds like extreme hatred to me.  That sounds like the mentality of a racist white redneck.  I’m telling you that most Hispanics/Latinos as a whole don’t like black/African people. Most of them that come from Cuba,Brazil,Mexico,Puerto Rico,Colombia…are raised on white supremacy.  They believe that light skin,light colored eyes and straight hair is the beauty ideal. So naturally they will hate black people. Many Latin countries even have a term called “blanqueamiento”.  It’s a term many have never heard. Blanqueamiento, or whitening, is a social, political, and economic practice used in many post-colonial countries to `improve the race` (mejorar la raza) towards a supposed ideal of whiteness. The term blanqueamiento is rooted in Latin America and is used more or less synonymous with racial whitening.  So you can see  where their hatred of dark skin comes from.  I know black men who have dated some of these light skinned Latinas and their families usually don’t accept the black man.  Since they believe “whitening” the race is better,why would they want to darken their race?  They have to think of their children right?

Also just as a side note,many of these Latinas are in these booty model magazines. Don’t get me wrong these magazines are very degrading to women.  I used to read them as a young man myself.  But I matured and grew out of them.  They have these women in very degrading poses,all oiled up with,rubbing their G spot with a come hither look in their eyes. Degrading as they may be, these are still magazines catered towards  black men.  So why are Latinas on the cover?  Why do they have “Latina lovers ” editions?  I don’t see black women plastered on the cover of magazines for Hispanic men. This is really pathetic.  Black women even take a backseat behind Latinas in magazines geared toward black men. And the black men who are the publishers of these magazines should be ashamed of themselves. These clowns are hyping up other races over black women. Shameful!

This is  actress Jessica Alba and Mehki Phifer.  This is from the 2003 film Honey.  In the film he flirted with her until he won her over. In the film actress/model Joy Bryant plays Alba’s best friend. Joy is a gorgeous black woman..but of course they have Mehki’s character hook up with Alba. Not to mention that Joy is much prettier than Alba by a mile.

Here’s a video from the George Lopez show. This was back in 2010. Lopez did a DNA test on Alba.  Her mother is a blonde white woman and her father is a Mexican.  The results were not surprising to me. Alba found out she was 87% European. And she seems pretty disappointed about it.  I can understand her frustration a bit.  She sees herself as a “woman of color” so this was a wake up call for her.  I know many people see her as somewhat exotic with dark hair and full lips.  I actually saw her in person in 2014 at a social event.  She walked right by me. She may not have blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin but at the end of the day….she’s a white woman. In the film Honey the stylist had her hair permed to give it some curl. This was an attempt to make her appear a  bit more “ethnic” because she obviously doesn’t look black. I find this interesting because  I remember reading years ago that Honey was a role written for the late r&b singer/actress Aaliyah.  When she died tragically in a plane crash in 2001…they gave the role to Jessica.   So this proves my point that this role and many others should go to black women.  But Hollywood wants to erase the image of the black woman.  They want to keep the dark skinned African looking woman away from her rightful place….with the black man.   But keeping black men and women separated is what Hollywood does best.    Even when a black woman has a starring role she is linked with a either a white partner or lover.  I have seen this in shows like Scandal,Sleepy Hollow and Minority Report. This is a way to kill two birds with one stone. By putting Latinas in these roles they are saying that they are a better match for black men. Which of course is a boldface lie.  And secondly it promotes race mixing and making pretty little “exotic babies”.  Which is brainwashing us into believing that looking less black is better.  This is another reason we need our own television studios  and production companies. That way we can promote black love and show that strong black relationships are what’s really important.  Yes I know there are dark skinned Hispanics from Brazil,Cuba,Mexico,Puerto Rico and Colombia.  I have met some really beautiful Afro-Latina sistas. I’m not speaking about Latinas that are clearly of African descent.  If they have a African textured hair,black features and have a dark brown complexion they are obviously black women.  I’m talking about these straight haired,light skinned women with obvious European features.  If you look at it from a genetic standpoint they are mostly European. I know people don’t want to admit this but it’s the truth.  Like I said before,it doesn’t matter what language you speak.  What matters in this world is race,heritage and culture. And although culture is very important,in a system of white supremacy race is the MOST important.  So don’t be fooled by these white looking Latinas in films with black men. This is not progress for black people at all.  These are interracial relationships.  You have to call it what it is. Some might have a little Africa in their bloodline but they are still NOT black.  And any black men saying it’s okay because they are “women of color” is just saying that because they want to date non-black women.  I’m very hip to that term so don’t even try it. Hollywood is doing this on purpose to make us view Latinas as more acceptable because they are not “too white” but yet “not black” either.  Doesn’t matter to me.  It all comes down  to promoting race mixing and dividing black men and women further apart. This is what their whole agenda is about. And one more thing,these Latinas get their hips,thighs and nice butt from the African woman.  That’s why many Cuban,Colombian and Puerto Rican woman have nice shapes.  Yet they want to erase the image of the black woman??  This is very insulting!! Give the original woman her props!  Why go for a cheap imitation of the black woman? When you can have the real thing.

Black Love Denied: Black Women hooking up with White Men(Part 1 of 3)

Black love scares the racists who run this country. It has become quite obvious that television and film are tools of mind control.  And they use the media to brainwash black men and women on a global scale. Black people are in a physical  and spiritual war against our oppressors.  But the war is also psychological. This time I want to show how this process has been going on for years. And go in detail a little more. The  promotion photo above is  from the drama Minority Report. It’s funny it’s called Minority Report when there are hardly any minorities on the show.  Meagan Good is in the lead role but surrounded by mostly white men.  There’s an Asian woman,white woman and a Hispanic man also on the show. Although Meagan is not romantically involved with any man on the show…yet.  There seems to be a growing trend of putting black women with white men on television shows and films. While some may see this as racial progress,I do not.  I believe Hollywood is making a conscious effort to keep black men and women divided in films and television. It’s obvious they don’t want the masses to see too much black love on the screen. It seems that any time a black woman has a lead role in a show there are no black men to be found. I will be covering black men in part two of this series. This phenomenon is not really new since it’s been pushed on us for decades.  I want to show how this pattern is a form of mind control to get blacks to see interracial dating as a better alternative.  There’s been so many examples of this that there is no way I could possibly list them all. There’s just too many. It would end up being a ten part series. But I did want to highlight just a few examples over the years.

Back in 1968 there was the famous kissing scene between Nichelle Nichols and William Shatner on Star Trek.  It was very controversial at the time since it was the first interracial kiss on television. Of course nowadays it’s normal in television and film.

Back in 1971 was the blaxploitation film Honky. It was one of those low budget films that were common in the seventies. It was a love story with actress Brenda Sykes and John Nielson. If you look at the poster you’ll see the music was done by Mr Interracial King himself,Quincy Jones.

When the sitcom The Jeffersons debuted in 1975,there was the interracial couple Tom and Helen Willis. Played by actors Franklin Cover and Roxie Roker.

Superstar Whitney Houston was in the film The Bodyguard in 1992. She played a famous singer who fell in love with her bodyguard,Kevin Costner. Although the film and soundtrack made millions,I was never a fan of the film.  Houston was much too classy for Costner. I hated seeing her with this ugly man. I’ve never liked him at all.

The drama film Zebrahead(1992) starred the beautiful N’Bushe Wright.  Her love interest was played by Michael Rapaport. This is another film that was hard to stomach.  There’s no way a black women this beautiful would lower herself in being with this creature. Rapaport has made some racially insensitive comments in the past. He’s another racist punk I can’t stand.

In the crime thriller Jackie Brown(1997),black film icon Pam Grier had Robert Forster has a love interest.  This interracial couple was another mismatch. As usual you get a beautiful black woman with a below average white man.  This was a film done by racist director Quentin Tarantino.  Tarantino is in love with the word “nigger”.  He says it about a thousand times in most of his films.  He gets a kick out of using it all the time and gets away with it by saying ” it’s all just art”. Yeah right!

On the sitcom Girlfriends(2000-2008) actress Jill Marie Jones played character Toni.  After dating black men who were losers,couldn’t commit,womanizers and didn’t make enough money…..she finds happiness with her white knight.  They eventually got married and had a child.  Her husband was played by actor Jason Pace. So much for black love right?

This video from YouTube highlights some of the interracial couples on television over the years.  There are many of these videos all over YouTube.  You actually have some delusional black women uploading this stuff.  These are by women who have clearly been brainwashed to believe that voluntary genocide is a good thing. They are sadly mistaken!

Then there was the romantic drama Something New(2006),that starred actress Sanaa Lathan. Her character falls in love with a white man,Simon Baker. After ditching her black fiancée because it just didn’t “feel right”.  I guess they lacked chemistry. Anyway Lathan portrayed character Kenya McQueen. McQueen?? Interesting last name? Were they trying to say that the Black Queen should choose a White King? You be the judge.

How could we forget the film Lakeview Terrace? This thriller was released back in 2008. Long before Kerry Washington was in a white man love triangle on the hit show Scandal,she was getting her swirl on with actor Patrick Wilson. This was a very interesting film because the interracial couple was been harassed by a black neighbor played by Samuel L. Jackson. It added an interesting twist to it.  A black man not down with the interracial propaganda?? Imagine that!

Keke Palmer

In the comedy/musical Joyful Noise(2102) actress Keke Palmer was in an interracial relationship with actor Jeremy Jordan. On a sidenote,recently Palmer said she doesn’t like to label her sexuality. She doesn’t want to say if she’s gay,straight or bisexual.  That’s an interesting comment. Well now that I think about it,Queen Latifah played her mother in Joyful Noise. And we all know Queen Latifah likes women.  Maybe some of Queen’s “lesbian vibes” rubbed off on Palmer. Who knows?

Think Like a Man(2012) was a romantic comedy with a mostly black cast.  It was actually a book written by Uncle Tom himself Steve Harvey. I have no idea why it was made into a film. But anyway even though the cast was mostly black they wanted to go for the “crossover appeal” so they added an interracial couple in the mix(no pun intended). Gabrielle Union was the unlucky one in the film having to kiss the unattractive actor Jerry Ferrara.

Best Man Holiday(2013) was released the next year.  I guess after the success of adding an interracial couple in Think Like a Man the producers figured they’d try it also. Best Man Holiday was a sequel to the film The Best Man(1999). Nia Long was paired with actor Eddie Cibrian.  I know quite a few black men that told me they didn’t like this pairing. A lot of brothers love Nia long. But just in general Nia has a big following in the black community. This was not a good look at all. They should’ve just kept the cast black.

The show Sleep Hollow has become a big hit. It premiered back in 2013 and is still on. It stars actress Nicole Beharie. Her partner is played by white actor Tom Mison.  Much like the show Minority Report with Meagan Good, once again an attractive black woman on a show and no black men anywhere. The combination is always the same.  If a black man is the lead, there are no black woman as love interest. If a black woman is the lead,there’s no black men around. And if black men are around they seem to have no interest in the black woman. This really insults my intelligence. And these shows are big hits with young white men.  I guess because  their idea of heaven is them having all access to beautiful black women with no black men around. Sounds like a nightmare to me!

The Haves and The Have Nots is a cable television drama.  It premiered back in 2013 on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. The fact that Oprah is involved with it should be enough for you to know it’s not very good. Oprah is not pro-black by any means. But it get worse.  The show is written,produced and directed by Tyler Perry(known homosexual). When I heard he was producing it I knew the show would be garbage.  I figured it would have black dysfunction,violence,drugs,interracial sex and homosexuality. It turns out I was right on all accounts.  The only thing good on the entire show is beautiful actress Tika Sumpter.  Although she is a talented actress not even she can save this mental pollution disguised as entertainment. On the show she has an affair with a married man. So basically she plays a whore and homewrecker.  And of course she has an affair with a white man,played by actor John Schneider. Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey don’t give a damn about black people and our struggle.  They don’t mind being used as tools for white supremacy. Just as long as they get paid.  They both know how powerful television images can be.  I just hope sistas are aware of this sick propaganda being used on them.  Your white oppressor is not the man you need to be in bed with.  The black man is the natural partner to the black woman. They are doing everything to keep us separated in television and films.  So if the media is telling us that black women should be with white men..who should the brothers hook up with? Hmmmmm….you’ll find out in part two.
