Lisa Bonet & Biracial Women-Black Genetics(Part 4 of 4)

ca. 1988 --- Lisa Bonet --- Image by © Lance Staedler/CORBIS OUTLINE

The first time I saw actress Lisa Bonet was on The Cosby Show.  The main stars on the show were Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad.  The other daughters were played by actresses Tempestt Bledsoe,Keisha  Knight Pulliam and Sabrina Le Beauf. But Lisa was clearly the most popular daughter. Lisa  played Denise  Huxtable. The show came on back in 1984.  I remember a lot of black boys in my neighborhood had a crush on her.  I wont lie,I thought she was pretty too.  I remember a classmate telling me that she was biracial and had a Jewish mother.  I did think it was a bit strange that she looked biracial but had two black parents.   I remember on the Cosby Show there were all different shades of black people.  I also remember she did a spinoff show called A Different World.

jasmine-guy

I remember that the character Dwayne Wayne, played by Kadeem Hardison had a huge crush on Denise Huxtable.  Eventually Lisa Bonet left the show to start a film career.  After she left Dwayne fell in love with Whitley Gilbert played by Jasmine Guy(pictured above).  The thing I noticed about these women is they are both biracial.  Why is the mixed woman the object of affection so often? I didn’t think about it much as a child.  But I started to think about it more as I got older. This is something that has been going on for quite some time.  I’ve covered this subject before and it needs repeating.  It’s not really about just Lisa Bonet. She’s just one of the first examples I remember where the mixed woman gets all the attention.  I’ve seen this pattern over thirty years.  And it’s steadily increasing.  But it’s mostly about the fact that Hollywood still uses biracial women has the standard for beautiful black women.  And also we as black people have a problem liking any group of people that look “less black”. This is a learned behavior. I’ve seen it in film, music and television. It’s really nothing new. I’ve seen it throughout my whole childhood.   You may find some of these women attractive.  But the issue is not their attractiveness. The issue is the over abundance of mixed women being in the forefront representing black beauty. There’s so many I could never list them all.  But here’s just a small sample of  some of the more popular ones.  And even some biracial women you may not be that familiar with.

sade

Long before Mariah Carey or Alicia Keys….Sade was the biracial songbird that took the music world by storm.  She was  a huge star in the 80’s.  I admit I like her music.  She really has a lovely voice.  I remember guys in my neighborhood would always say she was so beautiful. Her being biracial probably didn’t hurt too much either. They said she was wife material.  It’s funny because rarely did I hear them say that about Anita Baker,Patti LaBelle or Jody Watley very much.

rae-dawn-chong

In the 80’s biracial actress Rae Dawn Chong was the “black” actress in many Hollywood films.  Although she was mostly paired with white men.

jennifer-beals

Actress Jennifer Beals became a huge star when starred in the film Flashdance(1983).  She played an exotic dancer in the film.  Her mother is white and father is a black man.

vanity

In the action film Action Jackson(1988) the late pop singer Vanity played the love interest to Carl Weathers.  The biracial singer whose real name was Denise Matthews also dated pop/rock  icon Prince.

karyn-parsons

On the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air(1990-1996)  biracial actress Karyn Parsons played Hilary Banks.  She played the cousin of Will Smith.

MSDJUFE EC012

In the interracial drama Jungle Fever(1991) biracial actress Lonette McKee played the wife of Wesley Snipes.  He cheated on his biracial wife for an Italian woman.  I guess his wife wasn’t white enough for him.

mo-money

In the film Mo Money(1992)  Damon Wayans starred with biracial actress Stacey Dash.

halle-berry

In Boomerang(1992) Eddie Murphy was paired with biracial actress Halle Berry.  Robin Givens was also in the film but Halle was the women every guy wanted. Of course Halle was the go-to mulatto throughout the nineties. And even won an Oscar award in the process.  She became the “pretty black woman” in Hollywood.

mariah-carey

Sade ruled the 80’s but in the 90’s Mariah Carey became the mulatto singer the media feel in love with.  I remember on music channels they would say she was a beautiful black woman. Mariah used to always insist that she was biracial though. Lately she has been getting more in touch with her black side.  Maybe it was because she married black actor/rapper Nick Cannon.  They have since divorced after having two children.

sister-sister

The sitcom Sister Sister(1994-1999) was a big hit among teenage girls.  It starred biracial sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry.

mya

R&B pop singer/dancer Mya was biracial as well.  She first came on the scene back in 1998. She did a little acting in a few films.  Some thought she would be the next Janet Jackson.  I haven’t heard much from her lately.  Not sure what she’s been up to.

kristen-wilson

In the 90’s biracial actress Kristen Wilson was paired with black actors like Eddie Murphy and Damon Wayans.

Gloria Reuben....

Biracial actress Gloria Reuben was on the hit drama ER(1994-2009)  Her character always had troubling finding love.

Michael Michele.....

I also remember actress Michael Michele(above) was  on the drama ER the same time as Gloria Reuben.  She was a nice addition since there wasn’t much “color” on that show.  Of course she’s biracial as well.

carmen-ejogo

What’s the Worst That could Happen(2001) Starred Martin Lawrence and biracial actress Carmen Ejogo.  She usually plays a black woman or a racially ambiguous role.

This is a great video(above) by Youtuber Chrissie.  She perfectly explains the double standard when it comes to biracial beauty.  There’s  a lot of dishonesty when people talk about colorism and the advantage of being biracial.

kandyse-mcclure

Biracial actress Kandyse McClure is from South Africa.  She has starred in films like Children of the Corn and Broken Kingdom.  She’s most known for the sci-fi television show Battlestar Galactica(2004-2009).

Amerie...

R&B singer Amerie debuted in 2002. There was a lot of buzz about her in the beginning.  Her “exotic looks” come from her black father and Korean mother.  Her only hit single was “One Thing”.  Some thought she would dethrone Beyoncé as the next big thing.  Didn’t quite happen though.

Cassie

R&B/pop singer Cassie Ventura(knows as Cassie) on the scene in 2006.  Her father is Filipino and mother is  black/Mexican.  She has done some acting as well.  She obviously wants to be a bigger star. Although she is most known for dating music producer Puff Daddy. She has been his on/off again side piece for the last few years.

In the black drama ATL(2006) biracial actress Lauren London was the love interest to rapper/actor T.I. This film was supposed to make London the role model for all the  biracial ghetto hood chicks.  I guess she’s living up to it.  She already has two children by two gangster rappers.  One with Lil Wayne and Nipsey Hussle.

paula-patton

In the film Idlewild(2006) biracial actress Paula Patton played the love interest to rapper/actor Andre Benjamin.  Over the years she has starred alongside Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise. At one point she was dubbed the “next Halle Berry”.

thandie-newton

In the comedy film Norbit(2007) biracial actress Thandie Newton was paired with Eddie Murphy.  Norbit was a horrible film.  A total waste of film!

Leona Lewis....

I remember when pop singer Leona Lewis dropped her debut cd Spirit in 2007. The British born singer has a black father and white mother.  She made a big splash in her debut.  She has the light skin, light eyes and long hair….and could actually sing. It’s no wonder music critics called her the “new Mariah”.

noemie-lenoir

In the comedy action film Rush Hour 3(2007) mixed-raced actress Noemie Lenoir was the love interest for Chris Tucker.

jordin-sparks

Singer Jordin Sparks won the show American Idol back in 2007.  The biracial singer was seventeen at the time.  I think that show is rigged anyway…I’m just saying.  She has become quite a big star over the last several years.

tracee-ellis-ross

Biracial actress Tracee Ellis Ross stars on the silly sitcom show Black-ish(2014-).  She plays the wife of Anthony Anderson.  Her mother is music icon Diana Ross.  Her father is a Jewish businessman.

CULT

On the Fox show Gotham(2014-)  biracial actress Jessica Lucas plays Tabitha Galavan. She is not only a vicious villain buy also plays a lesbian.  You know Hollywood always has to throw in that sexual confusion.

Sage Steele....

There are even more biracial women in news media as well.  This picture(above) is ESPN sports reporter Sage Steele with her white husband.  Steele is most known for being a white racist apologist. She never misses an opportunity to insult black people and the black struggle. Does that make her a mulatto coon?

Soledad OBrien....

This is biracial news anchor Soledad O’Brien.  She’s a news anchor on CNN. Just like Sage Steele she also married a white man. Look at those children. You can see the African features are just about gone!  Kiss those black genes goodbye!  But I guess that’s purpose of marrying white anyway.

Melissa Harris Perry...

This picture(above) is of biracial news anchor Melissa Harris-Perry.  She is pictured with her mother and father.  She is an author and political commentator. She had her own show for four years(2012-2016) on MSNBC. Unlike Sage Steele and Soledad O’Brien she decided to marry a black man.

Kylie Bunbury...

On the Fox show Pitch(2016-) biracial actress Kylie Bunbury plays Ginny Baker.  It’s a show about the first woman to play major league baseball.  So…they couldn’t find a woman that was just black??  Nope!  They have to cast the biracial woman as the center of attention.

Kara Royster....

This picture was very interesting to me.  I found it very eye opening.  This is part of the cast of the Disney show K.C. Undercover(2015-present). From left to right the actresses are Zendaya Coleman,Jasmine Guy,Kara Royster and Tammy Townsend. The first three women all have white mothers.  Townsend has a white father and a black mother.  That’s right..all of these women are biracial. How is that possible that ALL of them are biracial? They casted all biracial women.  Could this be an accident? I’ll let you decide.

BTS Miss Mulatto "No More Talking" photos by Thaddaeus McAdams for SoSoDef

This young lady is rapper Miss Mulatto.  That’s not a misprint, you read it right.  Her actual rape name is Miss Mulatto.  Her real name is Alyssa Stephens.  The 18- year old rapper is most known for being on the reality show The Rap Game.  I just find it interesting that she is capitalizing off of the popularity of being racially ambiguous. And using that as a way of being seen as unique in the rap world.

Tinashe...

Then we have pop singer Tinashe. She is biracial as well with a black father and white mother. She’s an okay dancer but not the best singer.  But you don’t have to be able to sing in the music industry anymore.  You just have to have the right “look”.  Maybe Tinashe will be the next Zendaya. Or the next Jordin Sparks? On the next Mya?  Who knows! I ‘m starting to get them all mixed up.

cynthia-robinson

Biracial actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson is getting a lot of roles lately.  She has appeared in films like Colombiana and The Accountant.  And shows like Texas Rising,Arrow and Shooter.

jamie-lee-kirchner

Actress Jamie Lee Kirchner(pictured above) was born in Germany.  She has a black mother and white father. She has been in shows like  CSI,Dollhouse and Bull.  Although she has brown skin she is still biracial.  Some people get fooled by this. Not all biracial women have really light skin and light colored eyes.  Some of a bit more melanin but they don’t always have African-textured hair.  Many of them have lanky hair with a bit of a curl to it. This is just a small sample of biracial actresses and singers.  I could’ve listed a lot more.

black-women

But the main point is that many of these white Hollywood casting agents don’t think that deep brown skinned and dark chocolate-colored(not biracial) women are good enough. They don’t have the “exotic look” they’re looking for. They don’t want African(Original)looking women with black features representing the black race.  And they purposely promote biracial women in films and music as the standard.  Otherwise why do they keep doing this?  People say “well black people  come in many different shades”.  Okay then why do the biracial women get so much of the attention.  We all know why. The truth is white people(other races and some blacks) believe that  mixed race women are more  attractive than black women.  They don’t think that black women that are 85% black or more should be the standard.  But this colorism madness needs to STOP!  There are plenty of darker skinned actresses and singers that don’t get the shine they deserve.  I want all my sisters to get the limelight.  She can have  full lips, thick thighs, african textured hair and dark skin.  This is not about bashing biracial woman. Like I have said before,I have biracial people in my family.  I have cousins that have married whites and Mexicans(Hispanic whites). I But I don’t consider them black..they are mixed.  This one-drop rule has gotten out of control. I don’t have any hatred towards them. I have nothing against them. But it’s time to stop putting black beauty on the back burner. Black/African women have their own unique beauty that should be celebrated. I just don’t think it’s “fair” to give them most of the shine while black women are an afterthought. Lisa Bonet is a pretty woman.  But a black woman shouldn’t have to look like Lisa to get some credit for her beauty.

A United Kingdom-Interracial propaganda Film

united-kingdom

Looks like Hollywood has the perfect film just in time for their Greco-Roman, pagan,orgy-inspired holiday known as Valentine’s Day.  The interracial propaganda is relentless.  When President Obama was in office there a big increase in interracial couples in television dramas, sitcoms and films.  By him being biracial,he was used as a symbol of some type of racial harmony. Of course we know this is nonsense. There can be no racial harmony when one racial group has more power than another group.  This is where the propaganda comes in. I   have covered  this subject many times in the past.  And it looks like I’ll have to continue to do as long as they keep putting these films out.  Now we have the film A United Kingdom. The basic synopsis :

“The film is based on a true story. Seretse Khama (David Oyelowo) is the Prince of Bechuanaland (now Botswana). In 1948 he meets and falls in love with London office worker Ruth Williams (Rosamund Pike). But their interracial relationship is not approved of by either of their families, nor by the British and South African governments. Seretse and Ruth must defy family, apartheid and the British empire to return from an imposed exile to their African kingdom, and assume power after independence.”

This trailer(above) is very hard to watch.  Here you have an African prince and he wants to marry a white woman??  This is total insanity.  This is self hatred to the fullest!  I don’t want to hear any crap about color blind love.  This is nothing but propaganda to make us love our oppressors.  A white woman as a queen in an African nation is blasphemous! This is a slap in the face to black love.   Seretse Khama is a disgrace to African people. Khama sold out his nation.  He is no prince!  Isn’t it interesting that Hollywood can find money to make this film but not about real African heroes.  There were African men and women that did great things in the past.  What about a film about Thomas Sankara?  Patrice Lumumba? Yaa Asantewaa? Queen Tiye? Marcus Garvey? Haitian revolution?  Queen Nzinga? Nope!  Instead they give a stupid ass love story between a brain dead Negro who gives his fortune away to a common white woman.  This film is stupid  and insulting on so many levels.

This is a very interesting interview with the stars David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike. Pike says that the film tackles racial prejudice from both sides.  She says that it’s about two people that are color blind.  Give me a break!  This white woman is lying through her teeth.  She knows damn well no one is color blind.  And our society is nowhere near that.  The world is comprised of racial groups.  Color blindness is a myth. Then Oyewolo goes on to say that the way to “unite a kingdom” is through love. And that Botswana has control of “most” of it’s resources.  How did they lose some of their resources?  How took them? I think you know the answer. And he says that Botswana sees itself has post-racial.  This is man is insane! How can Africa be post-racial when you got Europeans trying to steal land and resources?  He also says that his white wife has a small part in the film.  She plays a…..racist!  How fitting is that.  You can’t make this stuff up. Black love and black unity is the way to fight white racism.  The answer is not marrying and making babies with your oppressor.  This film is designed to confuse black people about racism.

amma-asante1

This picture(above) is  of Amma Asante and her husband.  She is a screenwriter and director. She is the director of A United Kingdom. Why would a black woman do an interracial love story?   Well that’s an easy answer.  Just look  at her husband and  it’s easy to see why this so-called universal love story is close to her heart.

when-hands-touch

Amma Asante is a very sick woman!  This black woman has lost her damn mind. You don’t think so?  Well check out the picture(above).  That is a photo of the upcoming film When Hands Touch.  It’s a World War 2 “love story”. It stars Amandla Stenberg who plays a biracial girl who falls in love with a Nazi youth.  What the hell??  Even though Stenberg is biracial in this racial context she will be seen as just a black girl.  I will cover the problem of biracial women representing black women in a later post.  But anyway this film has taken “love they enemy” to a whole different level!  They want us to love Nazi’s now???  What’s next?  A  love story with Adolf Hitler and Angela Bassett?   Or maybe Denzel Washington falling in love with a female skinhead?  I wouldn’t put it pass Hollywood at this point. Amma Asante has sold her sold for the chance to corrupt the minds of black people.  She is a female version of Lee Daniels.

david-oyelowo

I understand better now why  David Oyelowo was chosen for the lead role.  In Hollywood he’s the go-to Negro at the moment.  He’s been in other anti-black propaganda films like The Butler,Red Tails and The Help.  And judging by the pic(above) of Oyelowo and his family,I think he was perfect for the role.  Oyelowo and Asante are one in the same.  They are both from the United Kingdom.  And neither one of them believes in  black love or black unity.  They believe the way to defeat racism, oppression, and colonization is to just love your oppressor.  Both of them are brain dead swirlers. But whatever you do,don’t support this film.  Save your money and stay far away from this garbage of a film.

Jaden and Willow Smith: Ambassadors for Gender Fluid Agenda

Jaden1..

Take a good look at this boy.  He has a flower in his hair and nail polish on his fingernails.  This is Jaden Smith.  He is the son of actor Will Smith.  Jaden and his sister Willow seem to be at the forefront of this “gender fluid” agenda the media is pushing on us.  Jaden seems to be the male version of Jada…while Willow is the female version of Will.   Confusing right?   Yes this entire Smith family seems very confused.  This is the promotion of insanity disguised as sanity. You know how the white corporate elite love to use black people for their agendas.  Maybe it’s because we are trendsetters and we come up with all the cool slang and fashion.  So if we’re down with this agenda we can influence others to be cool with it too. But at any rate, this is a very sick agenda.  Will Smith and his wife Jada have apparently sold their children to these demonic people in power.  They have no problem letting their children be used in this manner. I guess they’ll do anything to keep their money and fame.

Jaden3...

You’re probably asking yourself what is Gender Fluid?  I know it’s hard to keep up with these European terms.  It seems like very other month they come up with a new one.  Sometimes you might hear the media also use the term “sexual fluidity”. It’s basically the same thing. Here is their definition:

Gender fluid is a gender identity which refers to a gender which varies over time. A gender fluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois, or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities.

Jaden2...

This is Jaden Smith with biracial actress Amandla Stenberg.  Amandla is also down with this gender confusion agenda.  Earlier this year she came out bisexual. She said:

“It’s a really, really hard thing to be silenced and it’s deeply bruising to fight against your identity and to mold yourself into shapes that you just shouldn’t in,” she says in the video, which she also posted to her Tumblr. “As someone who identifies as a black, bisexual woman, I’ve been through it and it hurts and it’s awkward and it’s uncomfortable.I definitely believe in the concept of rebellion through selfhood and rebellion just by embracing your true identity, no matter what you’ve been told,” she said. “Here I am, being myself and it’s hard and it’s vulnerable and it’s definitely a process but I’m learning and I’m growing.”

Rebellion??  She thinks coming out as gay is a BIG deal??  She’s acting like this is revolutionary!   The entire Hollywood/Music industry is run by homosexuals and pedophiles. But you see how they’re trying to connect this lesbian/bisexual nonsense to the lack struggle.  This is a biracial woman who says she sees herself  both black and gay! The racist media knows exactly what they’re doing!

Keke1...

This is a picture of singer Cassie Ventura(left) and actress/singer Keke Palmer.  Keke is a beautiful and talented actress. I had high hopes for her.  But it seems she has sold out to the gay agenda as well.  Palmer posted the above picture on Snapchat of her kissing Cassie on the lips.  Of course this sparked rumors of her being bisexual. Cassie  was also featured in Palmers’ video “I Don’t Belong To You”.  Palmer said in an interview:

When asked about the video Keke told People Magazine,  “The video was to represent the young woman today – it’s not the traditional woman anymore – and not the specifics of ‘Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi? I’m making the rules for myself, and I don’t have to be stuck down to one label.” “I don’t belong to anyone else but myself,” she says. “I have to make my own decisions. Happiness is defined by me. My sexuality is defined by me. And that can change and this can change and I can make it what I want to make it because I’m the one who makes that choice.”

Traditional woman??  So a woman loving a man is some played out traditional role?  She doesn’t like one label? Men and women being together is NORMAL.  Bisexuality is abnormal.  Keke has lost her mind!  She has totally sold out!  You see what they’re trying to do?  They are trying to destroy the black family unit.  They are doing their best to redefine what is a family and what is normal.  This is not a coincidence they are all jumping on this gay bandwagon.  This is being done on purpose.  This is NO accident.  The powers that be are using black and biracial people to push this sick agenda.  So is gay supposed to be the new normal?  No wonder so many of our young kids are confused about their sexuality.  We have black celebs dressing in drag,homosexual/lesbian celebs and gay athletes.  This homosexual confusion is spreading like wildfire in the media.  This is an assault on our children and our families. This is what they want to push on African people worldwide.  And we can’t stand for this sick rubbish!!

“We must be clear that insanity is clearly insanity and that it undermines the possibility of having a real discussion. This problem must be addressed because so many of us are entering this discussion as if the european creation of reality really makes sense, that it is a viable path for us to follow, that it can be blended with whatever snippets of the Afrikan tradition we can safely feel like keeping, that it is a choice we can make and still live as Afrikans. We are allowing ourselves to continue participating in a debate flooded with invalid/illogical ground rules. In other words, some of us are trying to have a debate incorporating a reality that makes no logical sense, for us or any other human beings. This is the nature of what makes having this discussion with many Afrikans so problematic in the first place. It is past the time when we can afford to get bogged down in the politics of precisely replicating how our Ancestors formed consensus. We do not live in homogenous, uncompromised Afrikan communities. Every Afrikan voice is not worthy. The mentacidal among us firmly believe that american culture is not european culture (i.e., that it is multicultural, a flawed concept in its own right) or that european culture is an even more valid, progressive and appropriate way for Afrikans to live than Afrikan culture. These Afrikans are completely oblivious to the heart of the european mind. So, before we even begin, their discussion is already couched in an unconditional confidence in the european way. The mentacidal cannot see that Europeans can only be what they are within their culture. While their immediate goal has been physical domination of others, cultural domination has always been the ultimate desire. For only in making others into them can Europeans have and control a world where they are accepted and applauded for their insanity. This confusion must be removed from the table before we can move forward or it will continue to drag us back toward obsolescence. As long as it remains our minds will be drawn backward into it until, by dent of attrition, it has overpowered all sense of what it may mean to be Afrikan.”

Mwalimu  Baruti

Biracial Women are the Most Beautiful(and other myths)

This is a video from the talk show The Real.  It’s a silly gabfest with five women as the hosts.  One Asian woman,a Hispanic and a biracial woman.  As well as an overweight dark skinned woman and a black woman with a bad weave.  In this video clip they interview biracial actress Grace Gealey. Gealey stars on the hit drama Empire. I’m sure you’ve heard of the show. The show that promotes homosexuality, colorism, lesbians, murder and black degradation.  Well anyway in this clip Gealey says that she is from the Cayman Islands.  She claims that in the islands they don’t really look at color.  They pay more attention to culture. Really??  I think she’s lying or incredibly naïve.  The system of white supremacy is a global system.  I find it hard to believe that color is not an issue in the Cayman Islands. The reality is she benefits from being biracial.  It’s one the main reasons  she probably got the part on Empire.  She benefits from not being “too black” so to speak.  She has that exotic look that many producers are looking for.  And she’s not the only one who is capitalizing off of the erasure of black women. It seems every time I turn on the television there seems to be a biracial/mixed race woman staring at me. I see them in commercials, sitcoms, reality shows and dramas. They are all over social media like Facebook,Instagram and Twitter.  Many are trying to be models or break into acting.   And many are becoming famous in the process. Of course they are everywhere because the media wants us to believe they are a better version of black people.  If they have light eyes, white features, light skin and long straight hair…they are deemed worthy of being called beautiful.  Yes there are some attractive biracial women.  I went to school with some in college and I have many co-workers that are biracial.  They have always been around me. Even as a kid in grade school.  Some of them got picked on by the black girls and I never understood it.  But as I got older it makes more sense.  The black girls never felt beautiful in a white racist society.  So I guess they saw the light skinned mixed girls with light eyes and long hair and felt jealous.  And I have heard many biracial women talk about people believing they are all conceited and vain.  Of course they are not all this way.  But I can see why many biracial women would believe they are the cream of the crop.  The white controlled media helps to push this myth.

The media reinforces the belief that they are better because they are usually not dark skinned and more African looking.  This video above hits on a great point about black women stepping up and not letting biracial women steal their shine.  I totally agree with her in the video.  I have seen some pretty biracial women but they are not any prettier than black women.  And many are playing in roles as the wives and girlfriends of black men.  Many times the fact that they are biracial is never even brought up at all.  Some of you may not be aware that  they are biracial. There’s been an abundance of them lately.

Tessa

In the film Creed, biracial actress Tessa Thompson played the girlfriend of Michael B. Jordan. Tessa also was in the horrible film Dear White People. That film could’ve been so much better.

Amber

Biracial actress Amber Stevens plays a girlfriend on the sitcom The Carmichael Show. In real life Amber is married to a white guy…but I digress.

Amandla

Teenage actress Amandla Stenberg is biracial.  She also recently came out as bisexual. Gay agenda being pushed?? You decide.

Westbrooks

BET is poison for black minds anyway. But they have a reality show called The Westbrooks.  It’s a reality show about a bunch of biracial Instagram “stars”. It follows them around during their daily lives. Yes…more mind pollution.

Yara

Teenage actress Yara Shahidi is half black and half Iranian.  She is on the buffoonish sitcom Blackish.

JurneeThis is a picture from the upcoming series Underground. It stars actress Jurnee Smollett Bell. She has a Jewish father and black mother. On a side note, aren’t you tired of the same old slave narrative? White Hollywood always has to remind us of our slave past.

Sharon

Actress Sharon Leal is half black and half Filipino. As you can see they are not always half black/half white. Sometimes they will be part Asian or Hispanic as well. But of course she always plays just a “black” woman.

Gugu

Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw is half black/half white. She has become very popular the last few years.  She’s been on a lot of magazine covers. Some critics say she is the “new Halle Berry”.  Really??  Where is the new Cicely Tyson?  The new Angela Bassett? The new Lauryn Hill??  Hollywood isn’t looking for those type anymore. They don’t want too many dark skinned, full lipped,African textured haired women in Hollywood.  The dark skinned authentic African looking woman must be put in the back so that the mixed race/biracial woman can shine as her rightful replacement.  The biracial women are closer to white so they are looked at as a better representation of blackness.

"Eclipsed" Opening Night

Over the last couple of years more African looking women have been getting more press.  Most recently actresses like Lupita Nyongo and Danai Gurira(pictured above),Gabrielle Union,Viola Davis and Tika Sumpter have gotten more roles on television and film.  But there is still a large abundance of biracial/mixed women all over the media.  They are still usually the women seen as desirable in films.  And mostly play the wives and girlfriends to black men.  I think Hollywood is very afraid the dark skinned African looking woman.  They are doing their best to suppress her beauty.  They feel a woman  who actually looks like an authentic African is a threat to the European ideal beauty standard. This is what the racist white media really fear.  They want to see someone who is lighter skinned, light colored eyes and looks like they might have one white parent. This is why you see more women who look like Alicia Keys than Luptia Nyongo.  But the reality is we need more Lupita’s. I want black women to embrace their beauty.  And ignore the lies of the media.  You are beautiful without having to be watered down.  And you don’t need a weave or be mixed.  You are beautiful without any European additives. You are the Original Mother of the planet. You are the TRUE standard of beauty!  Do not let anyone tell you different.
